It’s been rough for everyone lately, and here comes Hurricane Ida right on time for Hurricane Katrina's anniversary. So why do I look happy? Because #hurricaneida blew in winds of change. I am Louisiana Strong, I am resilient, and I am here for the winds of change to blow me in a positive direction. With the pandemic, I have not been as present for my students as I could have been - and I'm here to say that changes today. I've spent a good portion of my "evacucation" working on new offerings and even a new brand partnership (#savvi > Savvi). This hurricane has reminded me of the need for wellness that I saw immediately after Katrina; people will need a respite from the emotional heaviness that descended on the city for months and years. I am here for you. I am here for the venting, the rebuilding, the celebration - the change that the hurricane winds brought.
