All About Firecracker Yogi
Describe your image
Amanda Credeur, aka Firecracker Yogi, is a yoga teacher, life coach, motivator, and perspective changer. Her career has spanned Washington, DC and New Orleans, LA. Her eclectic background and love of movement permeates her personality and classes. All of her sessions are alignment based; aligning body with mind, aligning schedule with results, and aligning visions with goals so that her students are able to live the life they desire. Amanda understands that every struggle is unique and there is not a one answer fits all. Everyone deserves the space to create change in their own life, and the tools to walk their own desired path to thrive.

She has experience with a variety of yoga teachers, students, and lineages, which helps her create a unique experience for her students. In her classes she strives to create a safe and enjoyable environment by focusing on alignment and unique sequencing. Classes are curated for all in attendance with modifications, and understanding that each class should truly be diverse, equitable, and inclusive. Everything on the mat, is to better help us live our lives off the mat more aligned and at peace.

Life coaching was a natural addition to her offerings. Students were seeking more one on one sessions to work through personal times of transition. These students needed as much mind and soul alignment as the yoga students needed mind and body alignment, so the coaching focuses on aligning everything in a student's life. Most of her life coaching includes working with students through difficult transition periods to provide them with the tools they need to move toward a new chapter in their life.

In addition to her long health and wellness career, Amanda has been in the corporate business sector for over 20 years. Consulting and coaching entrepreneurs since 2004, she works with select business clients to meld together coaching techniques with business acumen to help them become more successful in their personal and professional lives. Her focus includes personal development, marketing, business development, and time management.
Her Story:

Amanda has been in love with movement since she can remember. Active in sports, dance and theatre, she was riddled with joint injuries by high school. After success with practicing meditation as a cure for migraines, she followed the suggestion of a doctor and began the practice of Sun Salutations to manage her joint pain. With her body realigned and pain free, she quickly fell in love with yoga. After years of personal practice, she was inspired to become a yoga teacher. Wanting to create classes for athletes and those with injuries who need alignment focused practice, she completed her Vinyasa certification at Flow Yoga Center in Washington, D.C. in 2009. She has practiced many lineages and studied with many teachers over the past 18 years. Some of her favorite schools include Anusara, Ashtanga, Hot Yoga, Inyengar, Jivamukti, Power Yoga, and Prana Flow.

Always intrigued by the benefit of aligning mind, body and spirit - she was still on a personal quest to find happiness on the other side of her own trauma and life transitions. While obtaining her life coach certification to better help her students through their own life transitions, she kept finding herself back on her yoga mat during the most difficult times. Melding yoga teachings with life coaching has helped her overcome many obstacles, and she brings that into all of her teachings. She has spent years creating strategies to more gracefully and easily move through life transitions. Deemed a survivor by many, she has set her life goal not on surviving, but thriving.

A large amount of her time is now joyously spent devoted to helping others through personal development, and nonprofit support. Giving back to her community has always been at the center of her life, and she focuses on local nonprofits within education, art, and animal rescue. Giving back is her way to help herself and her community thrive.
