Donate to Uplift Women in Our Community: I'm running CCC to raise money for JLNO

Updated: Apr 18, 2023

**Update** Thank you! You all came together for a total donation amount of $408 ($108 over my goal!) bringing the total donations to Junior League of New Orleans to $14,361.62. Our charity team had an amazing time running the CCC together and raising money for JLNO. I had a goal to finish the race in 1-1/2 hours and I finished in 1 hour 19 minutes. What an overall amazing experience. Thank you again to all that donated, shared, and sent words of encouragement.

Please join me in advancing the wellbeing of women through JLNO’s innovative initiatives. Beyond yoga, I love walking and running. My run journey began in 2011 with a 5K for charity. In the years since, I've made running a regular habit. BUT I've never run a 10K. What better way to hit a personal milestone than by donating back to this amazing community in a way that uplifts women? My goal is $300. I'm halfway there, and I know with your help, we'll cross the fundraising goal together. Then, I'll work on crossing that 10K goal on April 8th!

To help women in this community through education, training, and community service programs, I am running this year's Allstate Sugar Bowl Crescent City Classic on behalf of the Junior League of New Orleans (JLNO). Thousands of people in this community are positively impacted by JLNO programs every year; providing women in this community with leadership and career development training, diapers and period products to families and organizations in need, thousands of volunteer hours to community service organizations, disaster recovery donations and assistance, babysitter training and other educational opportunities to children, and so much more! Your support will ensure that more women and children in our New Orleans community have the opportunity to live a healthy, happy, and successful life through these amazing programs.

The Junior League of New Orleans (JLNO), a 95-year-old organization with a legacy of service to the Greater New Orleans area. It has been at the forefront of training women, investing in programs, and creating projects that make a significant impact. Its current programs including the Diaper Bank, Woman Entrepreneur Fellowship, Scholarship among others demonstrate that JLNO continues to address the critical issues facing women and families. Through these projects and the 40,000 hours its members dedicate annually, JLNO equips women to be more effective volunteers and leaders, recognizes and addresses community needs, and implements lasting change.
